Union Station is a beautiful, historic landmark with a rich history of expansion and renovation since its construction in 1927. The Modern Georgian Revival style building offers a passenger-rail station, restaurants, a variety of shops, and event spaces.

Available Spaces
The Union Station event spaces offer the perfect setting for weddings, parties, and other special events. With a main ballroom that can accommodate 300 banquet-style, 150 in the smaller banquet hall, and 60 in The Skylight Room, you’ll have plenty of room for any event!
Rental Information
The rental fee is for the use of the space only for 8 consecutive hours (additional time will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis). ALL Building access times must be arranged. You can download the registration packet for more information. In addition to the reservation fee, a $200 refundable security deposit is required for all bookings.
The rental fee does not include tables, chairs, catering, decorations, etc. JRA does not provide or arrange for furnishings or other amenities. Additional charges may be applicable for holiday weekend dates.

Parking
Effective March 2019, parking in the lots across from and/or near Union Station will need to be arranged with the parking vendor Parking Management Services, Mr. Paul Nichols 601-395-1095, [email protected]
No parking or loading is allowed on the brick patio on the corner of Mill and Capitol Streets (outside the ballrooms)
Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited on all Union Station premises, including both indoor and outdoor areas. This policy is non-negotiable and will be strictly enforced. Any violation will result in immediate action, including possible fines, removal from the premises, and potential event cancellation.

Event Insurance & Security
Rental Fee Details for Events at Union Station
The rental fee includes insurance and security. JRA will provide one security officer for events with up to 300 attendees. For events exceeding 300 attendees, an additional security guard is required at a rate of $25 per hour.
Catering Requirements
There is no required catering list, but only licensed caterers are permitted. Proof of licensure is required.
Insurance Requirements
If alcohol will be served, the alcohol provider must provide insurance as follows:
- General Liability Insurance (Event Insurance): Lessee must provide a Certificate of Insurance for general liability coverage to JRA.
- Liquor Liability Coverage: If any alcohol will be served, the Certificate of Insurance must also include Liquor Liability coverage. Please refer to the JRA Union Station Insurance instructions for the required coverage amounts and specific wording for additional insureds and address. Contact your insurance agent or an online event insurance provider for this coverage.
Security Protocols and Fees
For the security of Union Station, all building access and security officers must be arranged through JRA’s Security Team. Security arrangements will include coverage for all times associated with your event, including setup, the event itself, and post-event closeout. Fees for additional security, if required, will be paid by the Lessee.
Payment and Documentation
All rental fees, the Certificate of Insurance, and confirmation details for security officers are due no later than 30 days before the event.
Reservations & Voided Requests
- There will be a 50% deposit required to secure a reservation for event space.
- Rental space is reserved by JRA upon receipt of a completed “Union Station Rental General Information” form AND evidence of a security deposit payment via money order or bank cashier’s check on a “first received/first scheduled” basis. (Online booking and payment options coming soon.)
- All reservation requests are subject to review and approval by JRA and finalized with an official Union Station Rental Agreement signed by the renter of the space(s) AND JRA.
- For reservation requests less than 30 days before an event, all fees and required paperwork are due at the time of booking and the deposit is non-refundable.

Note: The JRA office is not currently located at Union Station. An appointment is necessary to ensure the appropriate staffer is available.
